Mountaineering

Nepal is a country of Himalayas, known as the Himalayan Kingdom. From the southern flatlands to the Siwalik, mid-hills, and the highest summit of the world, Mount Everest in the north — the landscape is truly diverse. Eight out of the world’s ten highest peaks lie in Nepal, including the tallest, Mt. Everest. Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Annapurna are other peaks that attract more and more expeditioners each year. The presence of beautiful trekking routes draws hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world to this Himalayan destination. Each summit stands tall and challenges people to conquer them — wow!

After allowing climbing for the first time in 1949, Nepal opened its gateway to climbers. The Government of Nepal has opened 326 peaks for mountaineering activities. These peaks are categorized as suitable for mountaineering expeditions, which often require solid technical arrangements and are relatively costly. Additionally, the government has designated 33 peaks as “Trekking Peaks.” These are permitted for peak climbing and are managed by the Nepal Mountaineering Association.

Ayan Holidays provides skilled, experienced, and professional mountain climbing guides for peak climbing. Creating a suitable environment and helping climbers conquer these giant, challenging peaks is a core service of the company.
